Vacation Photography Tips

With the vacation season coming up I thought I would try to offer some photography tips that might make your pictures better. If the camera hasn't been used since last summer the batteries will need to be replaced. You might decide now is the time to replace the old camera. If you decide to buy a digital camera, please get one and learn how to use it before going on vacation. Getting correct exposure is more important with digital than film. http://www.dpreview.com/ is a good website to research which camera to buy. For landscape photographers a good tripod will improve image quality. http://www.luminous-landscape.com/ is an excellent website to learn about photographing the beautiful outdoors. Digital cameras mean you must have a computer and software to make adjustments to your images. If you aren't comfortable using a computer I suggest you might want to stay with film. If you understand the rules of photography from the days of film and enjoyed shooting slide film you will adjust to digital real quick. If you need to learn the rules of photography and how to use your camera most book stores will have several books to select from. I hope to have more information online as I travel some this summer. Remember the more you learn about photography the more you'll enjoy this great hobby and also the more you may be confused in the shore term.
