The past 2 weeks have been very busy for us! Boyd Co Prom, Rose Hill K5 Graduation, Royals Softball pictures and Seniors about every day. There is always lots of things going on right at the close of the school year. Plus we also went on a roadtrip to Tennessee to my twin brother's grandaughters high school graduation in Portland (right outside Nashville). The drive down there and back was pretty easy except we drove in some of the hardest rain I have ever been in.
My new camera is so great to work with. The images from a 21 meg file makes the computer grunt a little bit and storage is going to be a problem. But it's really nice to have a larger file that will allow our clients to order any size wall portrait they want.
Theresa ordered several new products and display prints on metal. This is something brand NEW and they look really cool! The colors are so vibrant and this application makes for a very unique custom piece. If you are wanting something completely different you will need to take a look at these. They're kind of hard to describe, so feel free to visit the studio to see what I am talking about.
The spring colors outside all around the studio are beautiful right now. The next few weeks will be a great time to book your family or children for an outdoor session. What a great group of seniors coming in from Fairview!!! Amber was chosen as one of the FHS Senior Salutes 2010 and we had such as GREAT session with her. I think we were a little slow in getting started with her session but BOY, Oh boy once we got into it - things just started to roll!!! I think where she's a cheerleader and is used to being in front of a crowd & been photographed a lot, she worked extremely easy in front of the camera. There was never any visible signs of her being nervous at all. Which really there isn't a need to be nervous anyway, cause all we try to do is have a good time. You don't have to worry - we aren't grouchy, rude or hateful people..........and if we were, how could we ever get anyone to smile, huh?!?!! Sorry I got a little sidetracked there, now back to Amber's session. She had so many images that are absolutely phenominal that is was hard for me to choose just a few to post. There are several more that are certainly as fabulous as the ones in the sneak preview, I hope you ENJOY!! 
W O W, this guy is really good playing the drums!!!! Jordan I think you are one talented musician and I'm sure we'll be hearing & seeing you on some of the big stages real soon......... Thank you for taking the time to bring in your full set of drums and set them all up, and by the way we really enjoyed listening to you play. I feel like this part of your session really shows your personality. This is why we love to photograph seniors and sessions like yours is what makes our job so exciting! It was so good to meet you & your Mom, and I hope you all enjoy this little sneak preview of what's coming soon.
We have had some really awesome senior sessions this week, and Christina's session was one of them! She is one of the "Fairview Senior Salutes" in the class of 2010. It makes it so much fun for us when they bring in stuff that shows their personality. Some of the things she brought along to have in her senior portraits was her cheerleading stuff, several academic medals & trophies, a Jonas Brothers book, a Disney Princess throw, some Actors masks T-shirts & scripts from plays she has acted in and then we finished out her session downtown in front of the Paramount Arts Center. This is what will make her senior portraits unique and provide her with lasting memories of her senior year at FHS. I must tell you Christina, I think the camera loves you & you're very photogenic! Tyler was so awesome to work with and it was so hard choosing our favorites to share with you! He is on Fairview High Schools Senior Salute from the class of 2010. His session couldn't have gone any better & what a way to start out the new senior season , he was just GREAT!! Having Senior Portraits taken has changed tremendously since back in the day when I graduated from FHS, we won't say what year..........LOL!! I remember we went downtown to Parsons (up on the 3rd or 4th floor) they had a small studio back in the right hand corner of the store. And you wore only one outfit and they took about 3 or 4 shots, all head & shoulders and that was it! And some girls not only got the pose looking to the left and then to the right but if you were real lucky they would even take one looking back over your shoulder!!! I even remember the light pink top I wore for my session. Sorry Tyler, I got kind'a side tracked & lost in the 70's there for a minute. But today things are much more exciting, all the clothing changes and being able to bring in your favorite things with you . Just like Tyler did, he brought in his football stuff and his guitar. I can't wait to get the rest of his finished by the first part of next week, enjoy the preview...............
